We have an important update for all athletes, spectators, and supporters of the Okanagan Valley Throwdown! After working through unexpected challenges, we are excited to announce that the Throwdown will now take place on April 5-6, 2025, at the Lakeside Resort in Penticton.
Why the Change?
Our event has historically relied on city grants to help cover venue costs, but this year, those grants were unexpectedly discontinued. While we worked tirelessly to secure alternate funding and explore new venue options, we encountered unforeseen roadblocks. After extensive discussions and last-minute changes, we found a fantastic new home for the event!
The Lakeside Resort in Penticton is an incredible venue with a stunning backdrop, spacious competition areas, and plenty of room for vendors and spectators to enjoy the action. We’re thrilled to bring the Throwdown to this location and can’t wait to showcase an unforgettable weekend of competition.
What Does This Mean for Registered Athletes?
