The Bow Valley Throwdown debuts October 25 & 26, 2025 at Genesis Place in Airdrie, Alberta. This two-day functional fitness competition brings individuals and teams together in a high-energy venue just outside Calgary. With big workouts, a vibrant community, and five fierce tests of fitness, BVT is where Alberta athletes come to throw down, level up, and leave it all on the floor.
We respectfully acknowledge that the Bow Valley Throwdown takes place on the traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta. This includes the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai Nations of the Blackfoot Confederacy, the Tsuut’ina Nation, and the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations (Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Wesley). We recognize and honor their deep and enduring connection to this land and express our gratitude for the opportunity to gather here in the spirit of sport and community.
Sustainability Commitment
At the Bow Valley Throwdown, we are committed to hosting a competition that respects both people and the planet. Sustainability is a core part of our planning process from reducing waste and minimizing our footprint to supporting local vendors and building strong community ties. Our goal is to create an event that not only challenges athletes but also contributes positively to the environment and the region we’re proud to call home.
