The first workout drop is here, and Junkyard Linda is bringing a mix of strength, synchronization, and smart pacing.
Athletes will work through descending rep schemes featuring sandbags, dumbbells, squats, and bench press. Whether you're competing as an Individual or Trio, this workout is going to reward athletes who can stay composed under fatigue and keep moving as the reps begin to fall.

The Individual version is simple on paper, but don't underestimate it. Athletes will have 15 minutes to work through all six descending rounds. With the reps getting smaller every round, the challenge will be finding a pace that lets you keep pushing without hitting a wall too early. Smooth sandbag cleans, controlled bench reps, and efficient transitions could make a big difference when the clock starts getting tight.
For the Trios, communication is going to be just as important as strength. The synchronized movements mean teams will need to stay connected throughout the workout, especially as fatigue starts to build. Then, just when you think you're finished, there's a 60-rep dumbbell bench cash out with a sandbag hold waiting at the end. With a 17-minute cap, teams will need to balance speed with consistency and make sure everyone knows the plan before stepping onto the competition floor.
Time to Start Testing
Junkyard Linda gives athletes plenty to think about before competition weekend. How will you break up the work? Where can you save time? And how hard can you push without sacrificing efficiency later in the workout?
Now that the workout is out, it's time to grab your sandbag, find a bench, and start testing.
