BVT 26-27 Is Heating Up. Here's Everything You Need to Know.

Bow Valley Throwdown is already 40% sold out for the 26-27 season, and the excitement is building fast. This is the event's second year, and the goal is simple: make it bigger and better than year one. Mark your calendar for October 17-18, 2026 at Genesis Place in Airdrie, AB, a top-tier recreation facility with a spacious fieldhouse, indoor and outdoor training space, and sweeping views of the Rockies. It's the kind of setting that makes a competition weekend feel bigger than just a competition.

Expect five workouts across two days, testing your fitness across every domain, whether you're competing Scaled, Intermediate, RX, Masters, or Teen. BVT brings together gyms from across Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan, Yukon, and beyond. Right now, the top gym on the leaderboard is CrossFit Pyro out of Calgary, and the furthest nation represented is Venezuela. Wherever you're competing from, you'll be lining up next to some serious talent and an even bigger community, all chasing bragging rights for the Spirit of the Throwdown Award.

This year also brings something new. Our sponsor Bells of Steel is releasing new equipment at BVT, and our athletes will be the first in the world to get their hands on it. Multiple workout floors, pro-level judging, live crowds, a buzzing vendor village, and now brand new gear making its debut on the competition floor, this is shaping up to be the biggest BVT yet.

Every athlete who competes earns points toward the season-long championship alongside FVT and OVT, with the top athletes in each division crowned Fittest in the West at the end of the season, and taking home a cash prize.
