The Throwdown Series competitions are designed for athletes that participate in CrossFit competitively and at the recrational level. The total price for registration is $115 per individual athlete and $460 for teams (plus taxes and fees). Athletes will receive an event t-shirt and swag bag and will have access to fresh fruit, vegetables, and bars courtesy of Nature's Fare throughout the event. Athletes will also have access to our free taping and massage services booth. The top 3 athletes and teams in each division will receive a prize package thanks to the support of our sponsors.

Due to the circumstances of dealing with high volume online registrants, we are obligated to enforce a NO REFUNDS policy.

WAITLIST: With many variables to consider, it's not unlikely that a few spots in each division will open up between now and game day. If your division is sold out, be sure to get yourself a spot on the waitlist by emailing
TRANSFERS: To make changes to your registration info or to transfer your registration to another athlete, there is a $20 processing fee.

FUEL YOUR FIRE will be the exclusive option for fresh paleo meals at the Okanagan Valley Throwdown. Athletes that want to take advantage of this paleo option during competition weekend can contact Fuel Your Fire for pre-ordering information.

Individual competitors and teams will all compete in 4 workouts throughout the two day event with top performers in each division moving on to a 5th and final workout on Sunday afternoon. To prevent athletes from training specifically for our workouts and to further reward inclusive and well-rounded fitness, workout descriptions and movement standards will not be revealed until just days before the event.

There are a limited number of spaces in each of 10 divisions at the Okanagan Valley Throwdown. Divisions are filled on a first come first serve basis.

Recreational:  This division is intended for those that are newer to CrossFit or those who may not have the full toolbox yet but are excited to participate and eager to test themselves. Recreational workouts are designed so that everyone gets a score.
Competitive: This division is intended for athletes that are prepared for the unknown and unknowable. Participants should expect heavier weights and high-skill movements.

If you're not sure which division is appropriate for you, consider that during competition athletes may encounter the following movements:

Recreational Athletes
pull ups
cleans 135/75

Competitive Athletes
handstand push ups
cleans 205/135
pistol squats

Scoring and rankings will be determined using the point system. Competitors in each division will be awarded points based on where they finish in each workout. A competitor finishing a workout in first place is awarded 1 point while a competitor finishing in 9th place is awarded 9 points. The competitor with the least amount of points after all workouts will have the highest overall ranking.
